Rania Bouzeyen

Rania Bouzeyen, PhD

Post Doctoral Scholar

 

Rania (she/her/hers) grew up in Tunis, Tunisia. She completed her Master’s degree in Immunology and her PhD at the Institut Pasteur de Tunis, where she focused on the immunology of infectious diseases, particularly mycobacterial infections. During her PhD, she was a visiting scholar in India, where she received hands-on training in Mycobacterium tuberculosis research.

At UCSF, Rania investigates human humoral immunity to tuberculosis, with an emphasis on antibody-mediated mechanisms and downstream immune signaling pathways that shape protective responses to mycobacterial infection.

Outside the lab, she enjoys attending concerts, hiking, and exploring new restaurants around the city.
